Caitlin Taylor, Ph.D

Caitlin Taylor, Ph.D. is an associate professor in the Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice at La Salle University, where she teaches courses on institutional and community corrections, restorative justice, ethical issues in criminal justice, and mass incarceration.

Since receiving her doctorate in Criminal Justice from Temple University in 2012, Caitlin has published numerous articles about reentry and recidivism in peer-reviewed journals. She’s tackled subjects such as mentoring work with moderate and high-risk young adult probationers, reducing sentence length and reconsidering evidence-based reentry practices, and the family’s role in the reintegration of formerly incarcerated individuals.

Caitlin resides in Cheltenham, PA with her husband, Randy, and two young sons, Kellan and Kendrick. With two of their beloved rescue pitties on the rainbow bridge, her family looks forward to adding another furry family member in the future.
