Juliet Layne
Juliet Layne, Administrative Assistant and Volunteer Coordinator, came to New Leash with a degree in Political Comedy from NYU and a background in veterinary client service. Juliet has extensive experience in the pet industry and has always loved animals. When she was 8 years old, she would schedule belly rubs for her dog when she got home from school. In 2017, she rescued a dachshund mix she named Romeo. Romeo was considered “less adoptable” because he had been shot with a BB gun, needing special care every day for the rest of his life. Romeo was joined by rescue dog Rosie and cat Tybalt. Juliet continues to dedicate herself to people and animals impacted by systemic issues.
